Recreational Pilot Permit

Age

• A minimum age of 16 years old 

• You can start training at 14 years old

Medical

• Category 3 or 4 Medical 

Knowledge

• You must pass the recreational or private pilot written exam with a score of %

• Ground school is not required but highly recommended

Experience

• A minimum of 25 hours of flight training

• Including 15 hours dual instruction

• and 5 hours solo

• A flight test with a pilot examiner
